A Day in a Mothers Life

For the past two years. I've been at my son's side in hospitals away from home, family and friends. He was a Marine that was severely wounded in Iraq.
These photos are not always good, but they are a journey of our lives. His girlfriend, myself and my son, our families forever are on a new path. Everything we knew and dreamed about thought would happen blew up at the hands of a snipers bullet in another country. We had not one clue as we began down the road to his recovery how much that safe world we thought we lived in would explode and forever be gone. The road to bringing him home has not been an easy one, nor have we always gotten along. But the one goal was never lost, and that was bringing Joshua Home. It took a year and a half to achieve that, coming home did not make everything better. We still have disagreements, perhaps more so now.

But I have learned no matter what we face in the future. Nothing beats facing it from the home front when the world challenges us.
